A bit about me…

I'm Sarah and I have an enthusiastic passion for fitness.

After working for 17 years as a midwife in the NHS and having my own young family, It felt like the right time and perfect opportunity to have a career change to focus on something different.

My fitness journey started with running. I wanted to lose the baby weight I had gained and felt the need to restore my body to a somewhat familiar form. Running fitted into my life easily and I soon grew to love it. Wanting to pass on my enthusiasm to others and concluding that I missed working with/helping people, I completed the Leadership in Running Fitness course with UK Athletics. By that point in time, I had conquered my fear of the gym and decided to complement my LiRF with a Level 3 Personal Training qualification and a Level 3 Award in Supporting Pre and Post Natal Clients with Exercise and Nutrition.

After gaining a couple of years of experience working as a personal trainer and running coach for a local running group, I was contacted by a dietitian wanting to refer clients with complex health needs for exercise support. Wanting to be able to assist these clients more effectively I completed the Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral and the Level 4 Certificate in Physical Activity and Weight Management for Obese and Diabetic Clients.

I love the experience of working closely with individuals, guiding and supporting them as they strive to achieve their goals. Whether it's helping them to improve their overall fitness, shed unwanted weight, or successfully train for a challenging 5k or 10k race, being a part of their journey is brilliant. I recognise that we are all human and we all have our limits but with gentle encouragement and small changes, great things can happen.
